Riverbend is and Off Grid Glamping Site. Just bring your own food and drink. We have an Outdoor kitchen providing all the crockery pots and pans and cutlery you will need. The Cooking is gas and a BBQ. There are Hot showers and a Composting Toilet, the lighting is Solar and Subtle. The Main house is well away from you so you have complete privacy.

There are 3 main swimming spots but the main one is just meters from your Accomodation.

If you would like to dine out there are some great places within 10 - 15 mins drive. These will be listed in your tent when you arrive. We have Forta Leeza with Great Pizzas and other Meals, Fairview Golf Course and Omokoroa Boat Club sitting over the water. You can top up on Supplies coming from the North at Katikati Woolworths, coming from the South Tauranga PaknSave or Woolworths in Bethlehem.

If the outdoors and Bush Walking is for you, there are amazing Waterfalls and swimming holes in this area. One of the main ones is just 3 klms up our Road, there are Hot Springs, biking trails, White Sandy Beaches from Waihi through to Mount Maunganui.

Or just do nothing.

Pets. We do not allow pets as we have chickens and cattle on the property.

Wifi is Intermitent, but you can find it if necessary.

There is a picture in the Kitchen that shows Bruce’s Grandmother in the South Island many years ago, when they were Gold Mining. It was Hazordous and Rough then but they got through, they called the Hut they lived in, Top Hut which resembles the Rustic feeling we have here. It’s Good to get back to Basics at times.
